Information about Log Cabin Dallas: ----------------------------------
Log Cabin Republicans is the nation's largest organization of Republicans who support fairness, freedom, and equality for gay and lesbian Americans. At 23 years old, we are one of its first chapters.
We believe equality for gay and lesbian people is in the finest tradition of the Republican Party. We educate our Party about why inclusion wins.
Working from inside the Party—educating other Republicans about gay and lesbian issues—is the most effective way to gain new Republican allies for equality. Log Cabin also exists as a voice for GOP values among members of the gay and lesbian community.
Log Cabin Republicans believe in individual liberty, personal responsibility, strong defense, free markets, limited government, fiscal restraint, and low taxes. Through education and action, we demonstrate that gay and lesbian Republicans can, with principle and integrity, contribute substantially to building a majority Republican Party and a great nation.
Our membership is diverse. It includes allies in the straight community and multi-cultural people. Whether your interest lies in grassroots politics or the social side of belonging to a group, you will find a home with us.
We invite you to join like-minded people at our monthly dinner meetings on the fourth Monday of the month. We meet at Mattito's Cafe Mexicano at 3011 Routh (n.w. corner of Cedar Springs) for a 6:30pm Happy Hour and 7:00pm Dinner and Program.
We also have social events throughout the year.
